Iron Man Comics

There have been Iron Man comics around since before I was born (30+ years), so you can imagine that finding older comics to collect shouldn’t be that hard.  One problem that you might run into, is the cost.  While comics today are generally affordable, comics from the “bronze age” are going to cost a collector more money.

The first time that Iron Man appeared in Marvel comics was back in the early 1960′s.  That “Tales of Suspence” comic, numbered at 39, could be quite valuable to new age collectors of Iron Man Collectibles.  Back in the early 60′s you could pick this comic up for a cool 12 cents.  Now, just looking at eBay, you might be talking a couple hundred or thousand dollars for the same issue in mint condition.

From 1970-1979 you have the Bronze Age of comics and here you will find issues, involving the Invincible Iron Man.  The original replaced by a more intelligent, flashier being different from the grey colored, old school, Iron Man from issue #39.

Search Iron Man Comics from 1980′s

Next up is the Modern Age of comics and you can still find Iron Man present in some issues.  Now we have Tony Stark battling against others, like SpyMaster,  trying to steal and use his suit designs.  The Modern Age is defined as 1980′s to now and still has many valuable comics throughout that era.
